DW Session 2: Merfolk Shenanigans
General Summary
6/2/896
- Party journeys towards halfling city of Noggin to learn more about The Characters
- Queen Astrid is coming along to explore local churches and religions
- Two wagons, one for Queen and her guards and the other for party
- Before leaving Kassadeia Adam stocks up on bottles of Joseph Daniel and a spicy liquor called Ifrit
- Cereus goes into a Temple of Erivo in Kassadeia, vandalizes one of the walls
- Amara considers joining Tarkov again
- On the way the party stops for a day in Elijah’s Woods
- Gell and Queen Astrid investigate town hall, rest of party goes to docks
- At the docks there’s a big fishing event, lots of market stalls set up
- Signs are posted saying ‘Don’t Feed the Merpeople’
- Adam asks around for info on the Characters, stallkeepers are cagey
- There’s a guy selling milk bottles w/ tragedy and comedy masks on it
- Amara explores docks for Tarkov connection, disgusted to find Valentine there
- The two of them have beef, Valentine left her marooned on an island a couple years ago
- Amara asks about opportunity to rejoin, Valentine says she’ll start at bottom
- Amara calls BS, the two start fighting
- Valentine gets tossed into the water, three Elflands guards show up
- Adam has to come over to help break up fight
- Amara refuses to stop, breaks one of the guard's arms
- Amara goes into rage mode, intimidates the other two
- Amara also takes a good bit of damage
- They escape and don’t get imprisoned, but it could’ve gone better
- Meanwhile Cereus has had quite an adventure
- First, he fed a merperson despite the sign’s warning
- Shrimp stallkeeper comes over to chew her out, Adam pays 250GP fine
- But the merperson doesn’t leave, puts out hand asking for more food
- Cereus tosses a fish at it, but merperson wants more
- It grabs Cereus by the ankle, drags him into dock’s water
- Cereus takes a good deal of damage, Amara dives in to rescue him
- Eventually everybody escapes the docks
- None the wiser, but leaving quite a trail of violence and chaos
- At the town hall Gell and Queen Astrid learn that they have to leave immediately
- Queen Astrid is livid about the minor diplomatic crisis they caused
- Some donations to Elflands’ fishing industry will have to be made
- From now on, party will not leave her sight on missions
- She has high expectations for Amara and Cereus
- As the children of world-class adventurers, they should know better
- Astrid and Gell are getting along pretty nicely though
- The two of them bond over their shared religious experience
