DW Session 6: Party at Paoli's
General Summary
9/1/896
- Party arrives in Silvio
- It’s a Sardivelian trading post, so they’re technically in Sardivelia
- Cassandra has meetings about business deal
- But she reminds party to make sure Lord Gremio doesn’t interfere
- If they do well, party might get to meet with Characters leader
- Killing seems to be their preferred method
- So party starts formulating a plan
- It’s a two-parter
- Gremio’s a drinker, so find the bar he frequents the most
- Next, start a ruckus with a bunch of hired sailor thugs
- The sailors aren’t hard to find, but Gremio proves elusive
- Party splits up, investigates different taverns for intel
- First, Adam goes to Paoli’s Bar
- Yes, that Paoli
- It’s 25GP for a beer!
- Adam gets a water, but even that’s 15GP
- Because you get a souvenir mug with every drink
- The place seems to be a favorite for locals, few elves et al
- Adam does notice that Paoli seems to be in private suite
- The two hang out for a bit, Paoli doesn’t have much intel
- Adam complains about prices
- Paoli laughs, offers Adam a job if he wants it (he doesn't)
- Second, Amara visits Firenze
- Oldest establishment in Silvio, established 537 AY
- A tiefling gives her the stinkeye, but she doesn’t mind
- She intimidates the bartender to give her a free drink
- Drink’s called Thornoff, very strong
- Later she comes back and pays him for it
- The two end up sleeping together
- He’s an elf from Oftin, says he’s seen elves in bar
- The elves are upper-class maybe they’re who Amara’s after
- Third, Gell goes to Bocaccio’s
- It’s a bar for toughs, lots of Dragonborn, dwarves and orcs
- Bartender is a dragonborn-dwarf hybrid
- A slop of dragonshine is one gold, but gives Gell the runs
- Elves aren’t welcome, but Gell finds their sailor toughs
- Party regroups at inn and shares intel they’ve found
- Looks like Firenze is their best bet to finding Gremio
- Gell gets sick, Amara goes to sleep with elven bartender
- Adam stops by Bocaccio’s, orders slop special
- Leftover dragonshine poured into bottle
- Nobody’s finished it before, but Adam does
- Drink’s on the house, and Adam orders a second one
- A couple dwarves have to carry him back to inn
- Surprisingly, they don’t pick his pockets
- Guess they felt to sorry for Adam
