Erdine
The most miserable of miserable fishing villages located in the southernmost portion of Avicenna. The only residents are a man named Saltonstall and a disturbing number of chickens.
History
Prior to the technological boom of the 800's, the major source of income for most Avicennans was fishing. Factories and mining operations attracted thousands from the nation's rural fisheries to the cities of Kanara and Ravi, leading to virtual ghost towns like Erdine where only a handful of villagers still remain.
Avicenna's tech boom ended with its defeat in the 870's against Gamerian forces and Fairouz the Undying's reign of terror, leading to a slow migration back to the fishing villages as thousands struggled to make a living in their devastated nation. Few have made the return back to Erdine just yet, perhaps due to an arcane effect organized by Saltonstall and his chickens.
