GHG Session 63: Breaktime and Break-Ins

Month 4, Week 2, Year 919
Quickly teleporting back to Sanjuro City, the party had a brief meeting with Headmistress Kyoko Hara to update her on their successful fight against Craghan in the Koulan Forests. Cpt. Inaba would take several weeks to fully recover from Craghan's experiments, in the meantime Zan'kiri would oversee her bureaucratic duties as acting Frontier Captain. Kyoko made sure to thank Windred for finally dealing with her 'personal issues', and to honor Loopmottin's sacrifices she decided to sign on to the gnome's network of teleportation circles connecting to universities all across Pescaliat. The Fortunate Few spent the rest of the week recovering from their fight with Craghan, less than two week's before the start of the international conference. Zan'kiri and Ys completed the trade-off with Taro Sato, swapping the real Horn of Valhalla for a fake so that Taro would no longer have to worry about so much power. With the symbol of his enslavement finally in his hands, Zan'kiri became overwhelmed by indescribable emotions as he asked Ys to help him translate these newfound feelings of relief and joy. Teherse'singh spent more time with Prof. Klute and Bubbles helped Heiwa with his grung shelter, but it appeared that the Northern Territories were becoming a more peaceful place after months of adventuring for the FF. But Ys still had work to do, this time of a more criminal variety. She met up at Ryota's modest headquarters, teaming up with some of the Handgun's greatest rogues to pull off a heist on Chusei University's Museum of Natural Wonders. The targets of the heist were ancient artifacts dating back to the 1st and 2nd Cycles, items that bidders would be willing to stake their entire fortunes on at any Handgun auction. Late on Friday night, Ys and Bubbles sneaked onto campus with four other Handgun agents to retrieve these invaluable relics. With everybody sneaking invisibly past the campus security and unlucky students with evening classes, Alice Quickly ferried the party up to the second floor and disabled any traps on the outside windows. Ys helped disable traps on the way up to the third floor, with agents like Softas Snow keeping an eye out for the roving guard patrols. The party split into two groups on the third floor, with one group trying to retrieve the Old Myltevian necklace while the other group attempted to abscond with an old draconic war helmet. Both sides made slow progress on the exhibit cases, but multiple layers of traps complicated any hopes of a quick getaway. As the group focused on the helmet found itself poisoned countless times over by one of the exhibit traps, they started hearing footsteps down the hallway. Vernost was coming up to inspect the exhibits with a guard in tow...
