GHG Session 7: Leave the Cloak, Take the Cannoli
General Summary
Month 8, Week 4, Year 908
Flush with funds from the capturing of Ilariano Vivaldi, the Fortunate Five enjoyed their last day in Silvio to the fullest before continuing on towards Ardin. Ysmyrelda purchased some new gloves and a hat from Leo Mancini, Windred contacted fellow Shroud agent Samira Kayhane to get answers to a couple burning questions, and the entire group watched the Avventuri defeat the invisible killer that had been tormenting the city for several weeks. It was an incredible spectacle of explosions and swordplay, but nobody in the party was impressed. The whole fight felt scripted, and Zan'kiri noticed that the invisible killer was simply an illusion conjured up by the Avventuri's bard Gabriella. After the fight Bubbles managed to run away back to the tavern with an entire plate full of cannolis. That night Argus went to bed early to recover from his exhausting drops from the warehouse rooftop, Windred keeping watch at Firenze's with Bubbles. Ys, Phaedra, and Zan'kiri all got drinks at a local dive bar where a Mulane College dropout gave a stellar lute performance after being egged on by Phaedra and the others. The next morning most of the party showed up for a quick coffee date with the Avventuri, where the group's leader Alessandra Capaldi revealed that last night's fight was just for show and that the invisible killer had been defeated earlier in the day. There was a bit of tension between Alessandra and Argus, but so far the Fortunate Five hadn't made any enemies of the Avventuri (yet). At noon the party boarded the train for Galway, the next leg of their journey before taking the carriage for Ardin. They decided to stay the night before heading into the Treeleaf Union, checking out a local magic shop named Fapplestamp's for any items worth taking on their quest against the undead. Windred tried to find some item that would protect her thoughts from Zan'kiri, and Argus discovered some dragonborn-style gauntlets that literally spoke to him in Old Draconic. The semi-ethereal shopkeeper refused to budge on the prices however, and the party left the store empty-handed.
