General Summary
After some debate, the party agree to help Adriana recover a shield known as "Vakt" from the tower, in order to save her brother
To do so, the thief makes duplicates of her Shadowtouched Ring, which the party attune to and use to step into the Shadowfell
Once there, Barnabus is affected by an overwhelming sense of dread, but the group push through to find themselves in a large circular room
An incredibly tall, lanky shadow-creature emerges, but after a tough battle, the beast is defeated
Adriana pops back to the Material Plane and collects the shield
The group rush back down the tower, emerging back in their chambers on the Material Plane
Adriana agrees to meet the party outside of the tower in the morning, where she will accompany them to Eastbrooke
The party have breakfast at the tower before being escorted out of the grounds
On the way out, Roan is allowed to speak with one of the Aurelius Sanctus trees, and learns that they have been there at least as long as the tower, but not much else
Adriana groups up with the party in an abandoned village near the tower, and they collectively head to Eastbrooke - avoiding some war-profiteering centaur bandits along the way
Back in Eastbrooke, Adriana heads to The People's Temple where she is to drop off the shield
The party take up positions inside and around the church, in the hopes of rescuing Adriana's brother and keeping the shield
After a few minutes pass, a hooded figure sits down next to Groban and offers to provide him with important personal information if he follows them outside, and brings Celine too. The offer is time-sensitive, and Groban agrees - leading Celine outside and away from the church
Blair also has a visitor who makes a similar proposition, but Blair declines - opting to stay in the Church
As tensions rise, Adriana becomes nervous - asking why some of the group have left
Unbeknownst to anyone else, Meepo also sees the figure who whispers in his ear "Ticklecorn"
