Arriving at the imposing circular building nestled in the heart of Vodas, Collective Action beholds rows of tiered seating around the inside of the structure, with a central stage now obscured by a large pile of rubble, covering a hidden pool of water beneath. As they scour the chamber for clues, remnants of a bygone era emerge, hinting at a once vibrant civilization that now lies in ruin. An old tapestry depicting tall beings surrounded by reverent gnomes catches their attention, with one figure wearing a crown. The mysterious robed woman appears at this point, declaring that it is this crown she seeks, or at the least, the topaz gem that it once held.
As the party begins to clear the rubble, The Fist of Justice arrives, their appearance marred by recent encounters with ghosts. Firebird, in particular, seems ailing, her condition exacerbated by an encounter with vengeful spirits provoked by Alexis. Kristoff's attempts to heal the sorceress have been unsuccessful.
Meepo, utilizing his telepathic prowess, manipulates Bleeg once again, coaxing information about their rival's discoveries; including some memories from their past, and the sounds of a distant howl to the south.
Collaborating to clear the debris, both parties agree to spend the night in the amphitheater, seeking safety in numbers. During the night, under the eerie glow of the double full moons, Barnabus shifts, establishing a psychic link with his distant family and sensing another mysterious presence just beyond his reach.
As the night unfolds, the chamber is ensnared in a spectral reenactment of the past, unveiling the momentous events leading to The Calamity. Gnomes gather around enigmatic robed figures, witnessing the cataclysmic fall of Chrom, the God of Time. The party learns of the tall figures revered by the gnomes, who once served as protectors against magical animal beings like Nobanion.
Morning breaks with the return of an irate succubus, prompting the two adventuring parties to part ways, with Nessarah choosing to trail The Fist of Justice for her own amusement. Collective Action ventures into the watery tunnel, emerging in a treasure-filled chamber coated with a viscous slime. Amidst the loot lies an empty display case, suggesting the former resting place of the coveted crown. Leading from the display case to the cavern entrance is a more recent trail of this strange mucus...
