Aquamalith, a captivating mineral possessing extraordinary magical properties, is greatly desired by magical scholars and explorers throughout Caramiza. Found exclusively at the depths of serene lakes across Copperwynn, this elusive but magically powerful gem tantalizes those who dare to seek it.

Origins

The origin of Aqualamith is said to be a combination of both the Copperwynn Magic Drain and the Dark Tearfall caused by the irregularuly returning comet Zecod's Tear. The coinciding of these two events simultaneously created the crystals and the vast craters that would later transform into serene lakes in the center of Copperwynn.

Aqcuisition

To acquire Aquamalith, volunteers from the Gazeranfolk clans embark on perilous journeys into the depths of Copperwynn's lakes.
Not only does this require the ability to dive deep, but navigating submerged caverns and avoidingg treacherous currents are a challenge to even the most skilled divers. Additionally, the mineral emanates a dangerous aura in its unrefined state, threatening the health of those gathering the crystals. While the danger is very high, many Gazern desperately use this opportunity to relieve the burden of their Copperbound Contracts a bit.

Usage

Aquamalith-infused crystals serve as the core components of newly developed hydrodynamic engines, enabling the efficient conversion of magical energy into powerful mechanical force. Water, channeled through the conduits of machinery, can be manipulated and harnessed to propel trubines, ships and even some land based vehicles with great force.
This application is still experimental, but is currently being tested by the trade fleet of the Gamian Group.
Already, Aquamalith is used to regulate water pressure in the aqueducts and sewage systems of Bealuki. However it proves difficult to accurately lower pressure over a long time, as was demonstratd by the large explosion of the Freymarble Fountain in Bealuki.
Additionally, Aquamalith can be integrated into advanced water filtration systems, where water flowing past these crystals undergoes a thorough purification process, effectively removing pollutants, bacteria, and even harmful magical energies. However, it is important to note that prolonged consumption of water filtered through Aquamalith may potentially pose risks to individuals. This concern is only voiced by a few researches and does still warrant further investigation into the long-term effects.
