Shaman's Doomed Insurgence

The Shaman's Doomed Insurgence is the name givin by the Caramizian Archives to the failed Uprising of Gazeranfolk in Copperwynn about 4 generations ago. The underequipped and magically disadvanteged Gazeranfolk were quickly subdued by several professionally trained garrisons of the Caramizian army. As a result, the whole culture of Gazeranfolk is now deeply in debt towards both Caramiza and the administrating company Gunnard's Greens.

Motivation and Influences

The main motivation of the Gazeranfolk was the constant prejudices and disadvanteges they felt from Caramizan officials. Official archives of Caramiza claim there is proof the spiritualk leaders of Gazeranfolk, the Taka Ma'rat they wanted to overthrow government.   There are hints of Influences by some zecod cultists formenting unrest within the region, because they wanted to control some specific areas. Additionally it is apparent that Knurkang operatives have formented unrest in order to keep the Caramizian army busy, while preparing a possible assault in the south.

Main Events

Started out as a small rebellion against some taxation - grew into three large marauding groups.   Armies both from Bealuki as well Fenorijten Swamp in south intervene and quickly confront two of these three groups. They were provisioned and supported by the mercenary group Gunnard's Copper Fighters, which gave the armies access to excellent logistics.   Durinthe g conflict with 3rd group in the easter region of Copperwynn, Knurkang started advancing to the south. This immediately forced the Fenorijten regiment to move back south, to confront this aggression. In that disorder several rebels could escape from the advancing Bealuki regiment and disband into the normal population.   At this point the rebellion was effectively subdued.

Consequences

The initially high Bounty on the escaped rebels was given up after a year. The Gazeranfolk was blaimed of supporting the rebels, thus helping them escape capture. As a result, the blame of the insurgenced was put completely on this ethnic group and harsh restrictions were set in place, forbidding most culture festivals, gatherings and shamanistic teachings and activity. After a decision of the Manedir's Council the representative of Gazezu allowed the shamans to again practice in open ten years later.   The Gunnard's Copper Fighter mercenary group was highly rewarded for their support in this conflict. They gained full controll over Wynnstetten, which they later renamed to Gunnardstetten. Here they formed the organization that would guard and manage the gazeranfolk as well as magically gifted prisoners, send to the magically drained Copperwynn area.   Every Village in Copperwynn is now under adminstration by the now renamed Gunnardheim's Grandiose Greens, Granola and Gazeran Guardians. Hefty reparations are to be paid by every Gazeranfolk, as is stated in their Copperbound Contract, assigned directly at birth.
