King's Guard
4 trade guards just came from down near Nyre reporting that their whole trade cart got stolen by two magic users.Knock out and tied up in their own cart, found a few hours later by a farmer on his way home. You could see the shame on their face as they explained to the Captain how they got tricked by a scrawny man and a small women, rendered unconscious before they were even suspicious. I heard later that the cart held a good chuck of the imported food marked for next month. The 4 were sent back to basic training for their failure, 6 months doing drills with the fresh faced recruits. The head guards tried to shut down chatter on the theft but word got around anyways that they never found a hint of where the cart could have been heading.
I'm glad I'm not them because they could spend15 years making up for it but they will never guard the castle like I hope to in a few years.
