Lifeblood Grimoire
Halie brought back a journal from the north last week. It was found in an hidden in an empty grave of a man who went missing in 137. Its languages changes are substantial, making it difficult to interpret the full meaning of the text. A few notable quotes have been translated to the best of my abilities.
20 years I stayed in [untranslatable] when the gate place opened I went through it I was amazed. They same comet as when I left was bright in the sky. I went to my home and tried to find my wife. I saw a different family a women, a man and two children. I approached to ask about the past people, the man told me of his great grandmother who built this home. She had remarried after her husband vanished. I ask the year, they said 274. My questions made them wary so I left in a shock. Time must work different in [untranslatable] .This was one of the first entries. It is unknown what location he is speaking of or what gate he is referring to. This may be a plane of existence unknown to us.
When I returned, hopeless, the [untranslatable] gave me a chance to fully adapt as one of them. The price was I could not return to El. With nothing left I accepted. They brought me to a book, they called it the [untranslatable]. It required me to slice my hand and place it on a page. I remember a burning pain going from up that arm to my whole body. I had the mercy of passing out. When I awoke I felt different, I was unable to place this difference until they had me say words from the book. It took several tries, their language is still difficult. When I succeeded a burst of light came forth from my hand, it glowed a few moments then vanished. I can't wait to see what other Gifts were bestowed to me.
