Mongolia

Mongolia, a nation bordered by China and Russia, is renowned for its vast, rugged expanses and nomadic culture. Its landscape is characterized by steppes, mountains, and the Gobi Desert, with nomadic herders living in traditional gers (yurts) across the countryside. Mongolia's history is rich with the legacy of the Mongol Empire founded by Genghis Khan in the 13th century, once the largest contiguous empire in history. Today, Mongolia maintains its strong cultural traditions while embracing modern development. The name Mongolia means "Land of the Mongols," in honor of the nomadic tribes that have roamed its vast landscapes.
