Bounding of the Blood
The bounding of blood is an ancient ritual, though seen in many cultures, in which two members of a union cut their hands, holding them close together to allow their hearts to flow through each other. In that moment, they truly become one with each other, and are forever bound. It is the traditional method of marriage, though it is also used to bind adopted children fully into their claimed house, as if they were siblings from birth. With the addition of specific magical properties, the ritual may be expanded to change even the very appearance and structure of the adopted child's form.
