Ebreolian Empire

Ebreolia is a shining beacon of progress; rising from the ashes into a glorious empire. Ebreolia and Liguria now both lay intertwined in fates; a relationship no longer that of puppet and mistress. Just as the dragon blood runs thick through both lands, so too does the bond between the twin islands.

Culture

Ebreolia has always been a strange land with a confused culture; one of Ligurian birth yet raised by Elandris whole. The island was one of three colonies, that of Liguria, Ovronyth and Altenas; the three dragons. The overflowing magic of Liguria gave birth to great innovations, while the ancient traditions of Ovronyth gave way to craftsmanship unmatched even among its neighbours. And with the third dragon of the east came knowledge untold of other worlds, and secrets unknown in our own.

History

Ebreolia is a land reborn from the ashes, with a culture both ancient and new. It stood as the loyal daughter of Liguria for thousands of years, yet now rises beyond it’s nest and spreads it’s wings. Never broken and never crushed, the will of the dragons that forged her remains undimmed by time. With the death of an era came the need for a new one to follow; an era of wayward children left without guidance or leadership. An era of rebuilding and renewal; a renaissance in all things. It was in this era that many great monuments were built, from the great library in the capital to the Imperial Academy itself.   Many looked towards the old ways, hoping to regain the balance of yore with a return to the dragons. But it would be almost a century before the great houses rose again, and with it, a renewed hope of strength through union rather than conquest.   The ancient dynasty of Liguria would rise anew, bringing with it a united goal; to build a land that will never forget the glory of her past. A place where knowledge flows freely and art thrives. Where tradition is held close to heart and history remembers that which must never repeat itself. This new age beckoned in by the first empress of Ebreolia, would finally cement Ebreolia's position as a true empire.

Foreign Relations

Though the central power of the twin islands may be absolute, beyond their shores lays multiple vassal states; some with loyalties stretching back to ancient Liguria.

The fire in the darkness rises from the ashes.
