Ancient Captain's Log

Presiding over this majestic vessel has been an honor of my life and long live the glorious Empire of Ehalanorah.
Today I toiled with the crews in the Gardens near our quarters providing the Pink and Green concoctions to the appropriate apparatus. The Golden Flowers in other two trays were incredible although I find it amazing to see that the Green potion can create such vividly different shades.
This truly is a wonderous ship.
I had to inspect the engines below again. Something is causing them to disagree but it is unclear what. I am sure it is nothing serious but it has the Magi worried.
Whe journey on for the glory of the Empire and its Islands.
Protecting the seas and lands from all who would ooppose our rule and together nothing can stop our might.

It came suddenly in the night. A great feeling of dread washed over us all like a wave in a dark storm. Communications from the lands and seas above called of destruction and extinction. But how could anything erase the entire Empire? It must be a great calamity as we are unable to surface the ship as if the ocean holds us down here.
But my heart betrays me. Surely nothing could wipe our glorious nations from our pinnacle of perfection? No. I must check my feeling in reality. This is just a passing disturbance. Nothing more.
I have had Two stone plaques erected around the ship to inspire the crew, one in the Upper deck quarters and the other in the Mid deck meeting room. But few guess the true purpose of their riddle like rhymes is to protect the Captains Lockbox from my fraying worried mind.
I am finding it increasingly hard to remember and concentrate as news from above diminishes everywhere we go. The waters seem to drive us deeper as if washing us away is the will of the sea itself.
The cries for help above go unanswered as they are as far now from us as the sky itself is from the seas.

It cannot be denied, there is some cataclysm that affects us all! None of us now aboard can find solace or sleep or rest or peace.
We watch from below as waves tall as mountains wash overhead and any move we make just drives us closer and closer to the deepest parts of the ocean.
We dare not hope and many of the men have succumbed to a kind of sickness of the mind, falling to despair and death as their minds simply wilt away at what they know to be true.
Under my final instructions the Magi used their last strength to shut downt he engines and prevent our destruction, but it may all be in vain. For what hope have we left at the surface?
I watched as they sapped the electrical charge from the Xintu inlet leaving it limp and lifeless and siphoned head from the Toferut inlet leaving it frozen and barren, while others stirred the air from the Ginye furnace, battling against the ship itself until its core lay dormant.
It felt like a dying light of my people in the night. Has the Empire truly fallen? In my mind there is a great silence that tells me this truth...

I have hidden my Captains Lockbox away from the crew, the ship and even myself as I no longer trust my own eyes and senses as to what is real. I stood alone at the helm and sailed West after sailing North and then South again. Then finally steered to the East, before leaving it at my feet.
I now wonder the empty decks as shadows loom in the waters around me, mocking and torturing my already broken mind further each day. I know I will succumb soon like the rest of my crew.
The Engine Bay Door has been sealed and none may pass below. The Engines themselves dormant now as I lie alone here at the bottom of the oceans to waste away.
Farewell...
