Belkian
Descended from a race known for their affinity for hidden enclaves, Belkian's people had thrived in their secluded settlement within a vast cave system. However, as upheaval struck, Balkian found himself alone, emerging disoriented from the depths of the caves into unfamiliar territory, and no signs of his people. In the bustling city, Balkian's path crossed with Aurelia Whiteshadow, a Master Artificer who recognised his potential despite the stigma associated with Haregons. She became his mentor, nurturing his natural talent for tinkering and guiding him toward his adventuring career.
Belkian's fascination with controlling time through magic stemmed from both his innate curiosity and his upbringing. He possessed a natural affinity for understanding intricate mechanisms and unravelling mysteries. Growing up in the secluded settlement of his people, Balkian often found himself drawn to ancient artefacts and relics, marvelling at their craftsmanship and the stories they held. However, it was the concept of time, its fluidity and potential manipulation, that intrigued him the most.
Being an artificer only deepened Balkian's interest in controlling time. His craft demanded precision, innovation, and a deep understanding of the fundamental forces that governed the world. Through his studies, Balkian realised that mastery over time could offer unparalleled opportunities for invention and discovery. Imagine the possibilities of creating devices that could bend time to one's will – speeding up or slowing down processes, exploring alternate realities, or even glimpsing into the past or future. The prospect of unlocking such power fuelled Belkian's ambition and drove him to delve deeper into the arcane studies.
