Eal Guild report - 0.1.11 agf

Ser Michael from the Imperial Museum of Eal hired the guild to test the museum's security. Several agents were sent there to achieve this. They began by going to the museum as civilians. They saw that the museum had mundane items at the ground floor, uncommon item on the next, and so on all the way to the top floor where there were crown jewels, sacred oaths on display, precious metals and gems, etc.

The next day they met with Ser Michael. They were told not to kill anyone and that they could steal anything they wanted, and that the main idea here was to impress Michael. Third day they managed via invisibility to see that the items were being taken to the basement every night when the museum closed for the day. That very evening they ran into one of the guards at a tavern, got him drunk, and he admitted that all the items on display were fakes.

Fourth day: The party investigated further, and neutralized some guards (not killing, just incapacitated), and managed to reach the first riddle: a door with 100 keyholes. They retreived 3 keys from the guards, but had no idea which keyholes were correct. They circumvented this by placing a window-patch from the Robe of Useful Items on the door.

There was a guard on the 2nd floor "looking for magic that is not allowed". They entered the 3rd basement floor and they managed to avoid bumping into Ser Michael in his office, and they reached eventually 3 golden doors with sphinxes engraved into them. The sphinxes permitted the guild members to pass with the solving of a riddle. They took the not-fake items and left without being detected.

On the fifth day, the party sent messages for Ser Michael to come and meet them. They decided to dress up with the crown jewels, scepters, golden swords, rings, the whole lot that they had stolen. The very militaristic, authoaritve and arrogant Ser Michael though that they had stolen only the fakes, but went pale and silent when he realised that they had out-smarted his security.
