Bad Omens

The Guild came together with an expedition deep into the Galslavan Tablelands to descend on an abandoned temple that was once deep within the territory of many Green Dragons but had since been driven out by Demons. They hoped to possibly find an abandoned dragon's horde in order to help fund Guild operations. As they searched through the Temple, they found many Priests who were undead but had been corrupted and warped with strange tendrils and tentacle-like tongues growing out of them. The Guild dispatched them with ease and pushed further into the Temple.

They discovered a statue of a woman holding an envelope, and quickly realised she had been petrified and was under the effect of a Flesh to Stone spell, as a punishment by her peers for spreading unnecessary, 'alarmism,' so that she could live to see some horrible prophecy take place. Continuing further into the Temple, they eliminated the former head priest of it who had been turned into a Dullahan by demonic corruption and influence. Coming within inches of death for some party members, the Guild defeated the remaining undead but alas did not find the hoped for Dragon's horde, as the demons had already since cleared it out. Tametrious then using an Arrow of Arcane Interference was able to break the spell on the statue and release its victim. As demons began arriving at the Temple having become aware of the Guild's incursion into the area, the woman who introduced herself as Cassandra Cautela, a powerful Diviner who can receive glimpses of the future through omens, used a Wall of Force spell to hold the demons back long enough for the Guild and her to begin making their escape.

But they're not out of the woods yet. The Guild's expedition now are deep in territory occupied by demons who are in hot pursuit...
