Sages Of The Past
‘Okay. I’m getting the hang of this I think. This time, I had Lothmar, Ceder, Ed, Garrote, Captain Jinx, Olive and Novak to assist me.
They were kind enough to check in on Fillias before we departed gathering some information and met Goldheart.
We went to
Alderbloom Forest via tree! I transported us just outside Dandy and Thistles cottage. There was a loud bang and next thing we all saw was Jinx being picked up and carried inside, poor Thistle had burnt his muffins! Thankfully Jinx put out the fire and the rest of us helped clean up. We were treated to some delicious “blight resisting” ginger cookies, I just think they tasted really nice! After a small tea party with the nice Eladrin and Gnome we all departed into the forest.
It was dark and gloomy, noise everywhere but we pushed on. We heard fighting up ahead and the group agreed upon 3 scouts in Jinx, Ed and Ceder. As they advanced they witnessed an overly large weasel kill to heavily blighted bears with two mystical daggers. The rest of us quickly caught up as we were getting attacked by various birds, I’ll admit I started to panic but Novak shook me out of it and we ran.
When we entered the clearing we saw Eden and the weasel conversing, after a ludicrous amount of questions it finally admitted its name ‘Mirkith’ and claimed he was a god! One of mischief and individuality, but surely it’s not?!
Regardless, we learned of the stream in front of us. That it was magical and stirred feelings of happiness and sadness, curiously it hasn’t been altered by the Blight. The water also lost its affect when removed from the stream.
Mirkith vanished and we continued through the Forest, navigating a small obstacle course Ed got his foot stuck! Bugs started crawling up, I may have turned into a snake and ate some…..to help!
We eventually found the doorway, Blighted roots covering the door, and to my astonishment and shock, a member of the Lunawatch. Completely Blighted he attacked us, Lothmar cried out Adran! I assume that was his name, I froze still though I couldn’t fight family. However distant.
Oddly enough he gave up rather quickly, it seemed he was trying to get in the door for some time and he was weakened somehow. My team removed the vines and looked upon the door, a 3 dimensional picture of the Alderbloom Forest. They rapidly solved its riddle with the only hint being an old rhyme I knew.
‘Under Ijanas purview and Tymera gaze does the Forest grow strong and resist Ohms tempest. Only then does it receive the gift of Don Toro.’
Inside contained everything I needed, the party inspected many things, most of them minor except for the Oasis Of Remembrance! It was real! One by one we all entered its waters and witnessed our most pleasant and tragic memories appear upon the waterfall. They nicknamed it the “Trauma Pool”……
It deigned to gift a few of them with some unique items and gave me the tome to cure Fillias.
We decided to push further in and discovered an underground sanctuary, with trees and a river and some small animals. There were a line of coffins and one at the end of the row, in a type of shrine 20 fr high!
So of course they opened it, luckily what was sleeping within was friendly. A 25 ft giant, the old Archdruid and caretaker of this underground sanctuary, he spoke low and slow even claimed to be a gods child. After some conversing he sealed the front door again and granted me the ability to take the party home.
A very strange adventure indeed…..
