Dear esteemed members of the Guild,
With a heart heavy with remorse, I offer my sincerest apologies for my prolonged absence from our midst these past ten weeks. It grieves me deeply to have been away during such trying times, but duty, as immutable as the turning of the seasons, compelled me to a task of paramount importance.
In the wake of the devastating events of Guildfall, where our sanctuary was rent asunder and the heartwood of our guild, the World Tree, was laid low by the treacherous hand of Nathrael the Sin Writer, I have taken upon myself the solemn duty of tending to the precious seed that remains of our once-majestic guardian.
As you are well aware, the World Tree was not merely a symbol of our guild's strength but the very conduit through which we traversed the boundless realms of existence. It's destruction has left us isolated, cut off from our previous allies and sources of power scattered across the multiverse.
Thus, in my absence, know that every waking moment has been devoted to nurturing the fragile seed that holds the promise of our salvation. For it is my fervent belief that in restoring the World Tree, we shall not only regain our lost connections but also rekindle the flickering hope that guides our path.
And with that, I am overjoyed to share with you a glimmer of hope amidst the shadows of uncertainty. Recently, the seed has shown signs of life, as new growth has sprouted from within its protected sanctuary. Those attuned to the balance of nature may have felt the subtle wisp of power that was released into the world at this time. Though its effects remain shrouded in mystery, I cannot help but feel a sense of anticipation for what is to come.
Furthermore, while sequestered within my chambers, I have received missives from influential figures across Elanora, hinting at shifting tides and unseem machinations. Rumors abound of another group, their intentions veiled in secrecy, traversing paths akin to our own. Rest assured, I shall endeavor to glean whatever knowledge I can to safeguard our interests and will ensure you are all made aware of any news I hear; I only ask that you do the same and report any findings that you may come across upon your adventures.
