Mokare River

The Mokare river runs from Pizol Springs, through the Yawning Chasm, before heading south. It is one of the few waterways out of the Pizol mountains that is not a tributory to the Tanquary River. Instead it ultimately flows to the southern kingdoms and the Dice and Drakar rivers.

The barriers between the Faewild and the Prime Material Plane run thin here. Travellers are advised to ignore any lights in the trees and not to chase any wildlife off the path. Staring into or disturbing the many ponds and pools on either side of the river is also likely to bring mishap.

The humanoid locals of the area are friendly enough. On the first day of spring, the Mokare Festival is held, and the revelry of the Morris Dance supposedly runs for a full week, with musicians and dancers trading places through night and day.
