The Undermining

This report is an amalgamation of rumours, fragments of accounts from Guild agents, and accounts from refugees. Details are still sketchy. Due to the chaotic and...horrible nature of these events, it is not suprising that no historian was on hand to record a coherant account, but we'll keep trying.

The town of Tenston has been undermined by the rat-folk. Towns of Faelor and Maloke began receiving refugees from goat farmers and travellers on the outskirts, but we currently believe all townsfolk were lost. Those captured alive were sacrificed to some kind of rat god. A team was sent north to investigate. They discovered the town had been sunk almost a mile into the ground. In the crater were the remains of the town and townsfolk, and a large gathering of ratfolk. A battle broke out and the Guild was victorious, however signs were discovered that this was a rearguard, a minor detatchment of the primary ratfolk forces. It is possible the rats are tunnelling an entire underground kingdom. It is also possible they are simply fleeing north to the Helgin Glacier and less contested resources.
