Rin, caller of fish
Rin just likes fish ok! She sees them in clouds, the leaves of plants and drew them on every wall of her room growing up. She would always as a child wade in rivers and streams of her homeland, gathering guppies, and goldfish, trout and trumpeters, dory and drummers, and as she grew up, her house was filled with hundreds of connected jars, tanks bottles and pipes where fish could swim amongst the family. An extremely happy girl from a young age, Rin's parents supported her hobbies, and gave her every opportunity to build and expand her interest.
She often could be seen, wandering the township while her parents were shopping, gifting strange and unusual fish to merchants, shopkeepers and travellers, always bringing a smile to their faces.
As she grew, her parents noticed more and more, the strange control she seemed to have over her aquatic friends, as though they shared a pure bond and understanding. So when a travelling Wizard passed through the town, they requested his help to see what strange powers their girl kept within.
After speaking with and questioning the young Rin, the Wizard confirmed that she was a sorceress of great potential, and wrote immediatly a letter of writ, to the college at Thymwaven, so she could be properly trained in the magical arts.
A sad parting, but exciting time came all too soon, as young Rin packed her bags, and prepared to set out on adventures unknown.
As she sat for her last family meal together, Rins mother began to cry at the thought of missing her Daughter, but Rin just smiled. "Dont worry Mum, " She said, "There is always a part of me here with you and Pa" and Rin clicked her fingers...
All around the house, (and the countryside far and wide) the hundreds and thousands of fish that Rin had gatherd, collected, gifted and shared over her childhood vanished instantly! and with a wave of her hand, they all returned.
"See Mum" she said, with a fish shaped tear in her eye, "You will always know im safe because my fish will be here with you, and they will always be here to protect me too" and she reached out her hand, and a stream of barely visibly fish, streamed out, swimming through the air and gathering her backpack. then reaching down, a small red fish danced from her fingers, to light the lantern on her hip, and she waved goodbye to her parents, and she journeyed into the cold early morning, towards her future, and her destiny, fish dancing around her, like a school of guppies following their mother downstream towards an unknown great ocean.
