Scoutmaster Yorm's report - 0.2.23

Attack on Ice Giants

Guild commission.

The guild had called adventures to travel to the top of the freezing cold Ice Spire Peaks to go check on the Ice Giant Clan. Apparently there had been a recent commotion that needed to be checked out.

The party met with Scoutmaster Yorm outside the gates to the village. He informed them that Scovja, a single mother and member of the ice Giant Clan, recently had her son, Thomas, go missing. She pleaded for the adventures help, sharing the location of the camp where her son went missing.

After talking to Scoutmaster Yorm again, the party learn of an anti-giant group called The Blood Riders, lead by a man called Scarn, that are likely behind this. The adventures went to the campsite to look for clues on where the Blood Rider camp might be located and where Thomas was taken. The Camp was in ruins and there were humanoid bodies all over the place. After investigating, they found a map written by Scarn with instructions on where the camp currently is.

The party was then Surprised by a Remorhaz. It immediately swallowed someone and proceeded to swallow the party one by one. With all the party almost down except for one person, an Ice Giant comes Surfing down the mountain on an ice surf-board. It grabbed the Remorhaz and twisted it's body forcing it to spew up everyone it had swallowed.

Turned out that this frost giant is the owner of this monstrosity that it calles "Mr Fluffy". The ice Giant apologised and took Mr Fluffy back with him.
The party made it to the camp of the Blood Riders to find Scarn drinking this bottle filled with thick blue liquid. Thomas is in a cage inside the camp, a tube connecting his arm to more bottles as it syphons his blood into them. Scarn told the party that the best way to kill a frost giant is to become one. He bites his hand and then turned into a frost giant. The other blood riders race to drink the potions too, but the party kill them before they get the chance. They then drink the potions themselves and become Frost Giants. They easily kill scarn afterwards and free Thomas. Thomas doesn't want to go back, so the party send a message to Scovja. They get back to the guild and are rewarded.
