Sicifant Ruins

The dunes of the Plains of Silt are not static. Remnants of old cities from before the Exodus are swallowed, uncovered and swallowed again on a recurring basis. This accelerated during The Great Rebuke as the Magocracy reached out across the entire Empire for powerful sources of necromantic energy and undead servents, upsetting the natural balance and setting chaotic winds and storms swirling across the plains on a daily basis.

This particular set of ruins was recently uncovered on an ancient road, long abandoned, that used to link the Silt River to some forgotten city of the north, presumably when that river flowed with freshwater. Those who discovered it returned to explore, and haven't been seen since.
