Wychwood Forest

Wychwood Forest is technically part of the Dulak barony, but no one has explored the area in hundreds of years. People tend to go missing when they try to venture in. Old abandoned lumberyards and similar timber villages dot the edges of this expanse.

It is rumoured the forest was once an elvish stronghold or settlement from a time predating even the Guild Hall. On occassion one will find an old lumberjack in a nearby tavern who will know someone who was related to someone...who made it far enough into the forest to spot an old elven temple that filled them with an unnatural dread. Or a merchant selling a solid gold statuette they swear was obtained from ruins in the Wychwood, and is probably enchanted, but couldn't possibly be cursed (unless you're the type who'd pay more for that, sir?). Braeland serfs and peasants can be a superstitious bunch, so it is not recommended to joke about having come from the forest yourself recently if you happen to be visiting towns in the nearby Dulak region.
