Chosen

The Chosen are individuals imbued with divine power by at least one of the Deities. It gives them power that is comparable to a demigod. Some individuals serve as the chosen to more than one deity.

The Chosen are different from simple priests, paladins, and other divine spellcasters. They can be either willing or unwilling, but those that are unwilling often do not even know they have been made Chosen by a deity. A Chosen holds a portion of the deity's own power, and thus so long as the Chosen is alive, the deity cannot truly be slain. However, should the Chosen be killed, the deity will lose the power that he or she had invested into the Chosen until it slowly regenerates over time. As such, most deities will choose only powerful, willing servants to become Chosen.

The following individuals were each Chosen to a deity at some point in history, organized by the various pantheons of gods. While an individual may appear on this list, it does not necessarily mean the individual is currently a Chosen, only that they were at some point.
