The dusk gnomes became distinct enough from other gnomes to be considered a separate race.

The gnomes who split off from the original stock and set off to seek companionship among the fey continued their population, both through breeding amongst themselves and interbreeding with fey, leading to a line of far more outgoing and friendly gnomes with a closer tie to magic—especially that of Faerie. With this magic, they went on to continue adapting to the ever-changing landscape and grew to resemble the plane far more.
