Tenets/Beliefs:

• Never steal from someone who cannot afford it; karma can (and does) find even the stealthiest among us.
• Use a portion of what you take to help those around you.
• Shadows are your friend, but not your lover; don't hide from the world if you don't need to.

Paying Homage: Worshipers of Thane often show their devotion by:

• Devoting a portion of anything they steal to helping someone in need.
• Devoting a portion of anything they steal to a local brothel (whether they avail themselves of its services or not).
• Well-meaning practical jokes.

Depiction: In most art and lore, Thane is depicted as an extremely handsome elven male with tan skin and shoulder-length hair. He is often shown flipping a coin or balancing a dagger on the tip of his finger.
Lore: It is said that Thane's many lovers can match the stars in the sky and that he could steal the very sky they shine in without anyone noticing. It is said that his cunning and quickness helped to defeat the demonic hordes that plagued us after the Second Breaking.
Brothels are often referred to as Thane's House and his priests often care for the mental and physical health of the whores who live in his House.
