Purple Vail

The Purple Vail, commonly referred to as just the "Vail" is an guild for mages from al over Thyr . They have a small city of their own hidden in the White Tops (called The Citadel of Sparks, (or the Citadel for short)). Their main goal is the accumulation of knowledge in any shape or form.

Once every year all the branches of the vail come together in the citadel to show of their respective works aswell as to catch up on any advancements that may have occurred over the past year. This yearly gathering is known as "The purple days".

Structure

The guild consist of many branches located troughout Thyr, these branches mostly act independently. Each branch has a head of that branch, usually the most experienced or powerful mage in that branch. During the purple days all the branch heads gather in the citadel and vote on important matters that have arisen that year. This also includes the appointment of new council members to the vail council. The vail council is the govering organ of the entire vail, it consist of 9 members each appointed to a seat corresponding to a school of magic and one for the archmage. The council decides on matters that can't wait for the purple days, and as such governs the day to day goings on of the vail at large. The archmage precides on gatherings and acts as the head of the council.

Public Agenda

The guild mainly focussus on construction of magical infrastructure such as their gateway system. Aswell as innovations in the field of arcane knowledge trough their manny magical laboritories.
