Letter from Aiwen to Jacaerys

Jacaerys,
I truly don't even know where to begin. You've always been my rock and a protector of sorts since the demise of my parents, my appreciation of this knows no bounds. You've stood up for me countless times to your mothers and to others. It breaks my heart beyond words to have to leave you, but unfortunately, I don't know what else to do here. You already know all the details, but you can't protect me any longer and I need to do the protecting now. I know you know what's right and whats wrong, you're much better at being able to skirt that line then me. While I'm gone keep an eye on Maylin, we both know she's going to be very opinionated individual and she'll need to quickly learn when she can and can't say things or do things. We must protect our family and our family name, as we know the Sovereign will do whatever they can to destroy the remains of the Birchshadow Family. Regardless, I hope you get to follow your dreams and be the highest rank you can be in the city guard.
As I also promised Maylin, I will return home one day. I don't know when that day will come or how long it'll take me, but I know the second I see your face mine will light up again. We will then bring glory back to our family name. As a parting gift, I've made you a little something (a wicker/twig/leaf bracelet) so be sure to check "the spot" (probably a spot in the house they live in or outside that we would hide things in for each other), there is one for Maylin too. Remember I'm always with you and I love you beyond words.
