The Silverbrands

After the death of the guild's leader and founder, Olaf Silverbrand this once prominent and respected guild crumbled into obscurity during the chaos of the first years of the Dark Age of New Rodor. Now headed by two Silverbrand descendants, the scrappy guild is gaining popularity again, especially from upstarting adventurers.

Structure

The SIlverbrands are a wide and thinly spread guild of adventurers and warriors. The original guild was founded hundreds of years ago by Kladland folk hero Olaf Silverbrand, who ran the guild with brutal efficiency. Now that the Silverbrands are back in order the clan is headed by Marco and Sthena Silverbrand, siblings similar in age said to be descended from Olaf's lost bloodline. Under these two young adults is a hierarchy of adventurers known as 'The Oorting'. This pyramid structure places skill and experience above all else, ranking adventurers from porcelain all the way up to obsidian.

Public Agenda

The main goals of the Silverbrands are to aid new or inexperienced adventurers, bring peace and stability to those lands held by man and to carry on the honor and weight of the Silverbarand legacy through feats of bravery. In recent years the scrappy guild has been growing due in part to an influx of fresh new adventurers and warriors from all over the world. Members of this guild come from all different lands and backgrounds, for everyone needs help starting a career.

History

Founded by Olaf Silverbrand far before the fall of the then fledgling frontier lands of Rodor, this guild has been around for hundreds of years. The actual date of foundation is a mystery to all as Olaf began the compony with only a few of his closest warrior friends looking to make a name for themselves in Kladland. This party grew into a sizable guild before leaving the shores of the northern landmass and spreading elsewhere. Olaf died in battle a few years later, immortalizing him as a legond in Northern culture. At the height of its success, the guild was responsible for saving countless lives across Rodor and making a wide profit as Avolonians settles the new continent. Everyone had a use for strong, cunning, northern warriors in those days. When Rodor fell into darkness under the rule of King Alric, so too did the Silverbrands. Their members were scattered, disorganized and slaughtered for years as people evacuated the ruined kingdom. After years of silence and shame the Silverbrands came back under the new rule of Loletta Silverbrand, Marcus and Sthena's mother. No one truly knows the full line of decent from Olaf all those years ago, but the two latest leaders certainty carry his spirit.
