The denizens of Eldrin have enjoyed nearly ten generations of relative peace. In that time, countries have risen, towns have been razed by roving bands of marauders, and the tales of the past have passed into legend. Some individuals cannot abide stagnation and succumb to the whims of ambition and glory; their efforts spurred on by equal measures insecurity and a desire to hold a permanent place in history. The Black Emperor marches again, and the winds from the south carry ill tidings and a stench like that of a charnel house.
The Age of Peace may be nearing it's end.
