Ifira

Mistress of Flame Ifira

The second of the primary gods, mistress of fire and chaos. She is worshiped the least of the primary, generally by the Kindlings or unsavory types. She is known by many other names with several domains.   Other names include: Impala, Eris, Sira, The Second, The Destroyer, and Nago.   The lore behind her personality is fairly consistent through the religions and reality. She is irrational, flighty, short tempered, violent, and all around unpleasant. She holds little value in physical things, coveting her fun and amusement. She is a selfish being and seeks only her own gratification and entertainment.   She is unfortunately an intelligent being and curious, leading her to experiment with anything she can with great fondness for twisting bodies and corrupting souls. She is particularly fond of destroying things, preferably with fire, and causing chaos with that destruction.   War is a favorite sport of hers, she's proven she is not above taking physical form, literally inhabiting living bodies by rending the weak and vulnerable soul of a child from the flesh and taking it's place, just to influence the world without her vast power and get around the pact.   Thankfully, not everything is fire and brimstone with Ifira. She is a passionate lover, known to leave behind many spawn when she inhabits a physical form, more so when in a male form than a female form thank's to the biological limits. When she does grow fond of a lover, she is known as a passionate and possessive creature.   Unfortunately, she is also fond of pranks and tricks. These are not limited to her element or to destructive or even large scale prank. She has proven to be, to the dismay of many many people, not above a well timed projection of a fart noise.

Personal history

Ifira 'assisted' in creating the worlds with Atlor. She was a catalyst to their creation by destroying his works. The first world was created by accident with Atlor containing a fireball. The act of creating with her siblings amused her until they had finished their work.   When the new creatures were discovered on the worlds, Ifira's attentions shifted to the humans. The first experiment was the with the smaller, more delicate beings known as children. She watched at first, then began to play small pranks on them. The superstitious young race took her as a playful spirit after the initial shock wore off, right up until the first child 'fell ill'. She attempted to take possession of the child without first casting the soul inside out. It warred with hers, until the body eventually shut down.   Thwarted by this, Ifira stole the child's soul and flooded it with her own energy. And thus her twisted experiments began. The resulting flame spirit antagonized the humans. The second child she touched, she corrupted the soul while it was still in the body, flooding the child with her energy. The resulting creature was.... a monstrosity that we know as the Magmus. Their bodies turned black, smelling of char and burned flesh. Their hair became as flame, burning and flickering wickedly. Their eyes burned bright like an unholy white hot flame, and rivulets of liquid fire oozed from their cracked skin, causing fires and death where they stepped. The first one was swiftly killed by the tribe.   Further thwarted, Ifira halted her experiments temporarily, long enough to set up a place to house her creations. She began again, rending the soul from the flesh of a child and corrupting it before taking the soul's place. She lived among the humans, locked in the mortal body. Once the child became an adult, she kidnapped several children from several tribes, then slew the body she resided in to release herself. The victims of her kidnapping were corrupted and twisted into Magmus, the process repeating until she had a healthy supply of them.   But she was not satisfied with these experiments alone. She repeated the cycle, this time taking the body of a young girl. She experienced motherhood in this form. It was intriguing to her to say the least, for she abandoned her kidnapping plans for some time to go through several pregnancies, attuning to the cycle of death and rebirth. She learned exactly when a soul inhabited a babe. When she had her fill, she returned to her Magmus and began experimenting with mating with her own creatures. But the bodies were not compatible in the end, thankfully, bringing about the loss of the brood mother. But she felt no loss in this.   She began stalking pregnant humans after this, waiting until the body was open to invest a new soul... and then placed her own corrupt spirits inside. This warped the child in the end as well, but not to the extent of the Magmus. They were still so close to humans, but more tolerant of the heat and flames. She bore these ones away as well once they were old enough, then began her twisted experiments once more.   Blessedly, Atlor interrupted her experiments to pull all of the four to Salvas. Even she, cruel as she was, could not deny the pain she had put the sensitive fledgling god through. I am told she grudgingly agreed to the pact with little convincing. Her twisted experiments were at an end, at least the ones that were guided by her hand...   Since the pacts were in place, Ifira has wandered about for her fun. She began with mentoring Pela, but soon grew bored of watching his strugle and began to take mortal form again every now and then to instigate a war or torment a society with her experiments, for the pact said nothing of interfering as a mortal.
