The Golden Palace of Sahk'Al Vahlk (The Golden Palace of Sah-k Al Va-lk)
Nestled in the desert of Sahk'Al Vahlk, this village was built on an oasis toward the western end of the country, it's exact location difficult to pinpoint without a wayfinder due to the uniformity of the desert. This town was established as a pleasure town, luring in tourists to spend their hard earned gold on the attractions, food, and drinks. It is known as a den of carnal desire and sin, detested by the clergy.
Demographics
Of the approximate 500 permanent residents, 20% are a breed of Yaun-ti; 30% are human; 20% are a denomination of Fae; 10% are Kindling; 10% are Drake morph Dragonborn; and 10% are a classification of Vampire (Succubus/Incubus), though they blend in with the rest of the population.
Infrastructure
The Golden Palace sports many different taverns, restaurants, and street food vendors. There are dozens of inns and hostels scattered through the town. Most buildings are centers for gambling or entertainment of the louche variety.

There are various guilds that make a home here, including the Diner guild, the Harlot guild, and the Gambling guild.
History
The Golden Palace was first erected by a nobleman to house his vast harem. When he died suddenly, he left his wealth and the palace to his harem rather than his family. The harem opened their doors to entertain the masses for the right price. From there, the city grew around the palace, comprised of men and women who did not want to leave. Word spread of the Golden Palace, which attracted more visitors and caught the attention of foreigners.

Tourists visit The Golden Palace for the gambling, the drinking, the food, and the sexual gratification.
Architecture
The Golden Palace is so named for the massive yellow hued palace. Each of the towers is topped with a bulbous dome gilded in gold. The palace is constructed of limestone and reinforced by the Yuan-ti sand crafting techniques. The Golden Palace is surrounded by a massive wall, approximately 10 feet tall and thick enough to support two soldiers patrolling side by side.
The town that grew around it is constructed of simple sandstone buildings, decorated and colored to denote their function for the tourists.
