Tae-Celcagta, Queen of the Húmentari

"A spark of life that dances upon the fields of emberblooms of her never-ending garden. This is the Queen of the Húmentari, the Cinder Sanctuary, the embodiment of the warmth of the flame. A gorgeous creature guarded jealously by her husband, Tol-Aughú..."
— The Chieftain of a Tribe that lives on the Dragonspur Peninsula.

Even though she is not as prevalent as her husband, Tol-Aughú, King of the Húmentari, Celcagta is more trustworthy and adored by the humans she interacts with than her husband ever has.   A pillar of morality and kindness, Celcagta embodies all the beneficial and gentle aspects of fire. She represents the potential of life after a wildfire, the warmth that radiates from a roaring hearth in the dead of winter, the aid of fire when cooking food, and so much more. She tempers the wrathful nature of her husband's fire, and she's the firm but loving hand that raised and guided her five children.   And unlike her husband, she manages to steal out of the volcano-kingdom she calls home on a regular basis in order to enjoy things that don't burn or smolder. She often disguises herself as a regular human in order to cultivate friendships outside the ones she has with the other Mentari factions.   She is the Mentari royal that is sent to care for new fire element wielders, as Tol-Aughú does not care. Having raised her children and tought them how to wield their flames so that it wasn't destructive unless they wanted it to be, she is the perfect teacher for them. Despite this, not many of those who are gifted by the Creator in the ability to wield an element are chosen to wield fire.

Etymology

'Tae-Celcagta' means "queen of the cinder sanctuary" or "cinder sanctuary queen" from tae ('queen'), cel ('cinder, ember'), cag ('resort, sanctuary, haven'), and the feminine suffix -ta. 'Tae' has only been seen to be hyphenated to names historically when referring to Mentari Queens.

Mental characteristics

Morality & Philosophy

The Queen of Fire is one with a view of the world and creation that is clear to all to see. She does not hide that she is a faithful follower of the Creator—that, even as a being of fire that could destroy things if she was not careful, she and her family has much a part to play as a protector and watcher of Avva'ai's creation.   She believes that fire should be a nurturing force. That it should be controlled and used only to aid the peoples of Eldûra in things like staying warm and preparing meals and in providing light.

Representation & Legacy

Even though Tae-Celcagta has not passed on yet, there are several symbols associated with her. These symbols have been crafted by those she has helped over the years, who appreciate her as a person. The Emberbloom is her most prevalent symbol (pictured), and is often worn as a pendant as a show of loyalty and appreciation.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Celcagta does her best to try and bring harmony between the other Mentari families and the Húmentari. Unfortunately, she has failed utterly with the Cermentari and Mayimmentari as they have not even tried to talk with her, thanks to her husband. She has done better with the Tëmentari, Gémentari, Gobïmmentari, and Ëstmentari.   Her closest Mentari relations are with the Géyaulmentari, who appreciate her warmth and feel that they can trust her, unlike her husband.

Family Ties

  • Tol-Aughú » husband
  • Ros-Húraul » son (first child)

Religious Views

Unlike her husband, Tae-Celcagta is still a strong follower of the Creator, Avva'ai. Her faith has never wavered, unlike her husband. She worries for him, but he refuses to listen to her. She doesn't let that stop her from remembering what the Creator did for the Mentari, or how the Creator had tasked them to watch out for the remaining humans and human-adjacent races.
