Emdow

On the 14th of the month of Yue, we gather to honor the goddess Yumi. In addition to celebrating the love and dread of darkness. This festival commemorates spending time with loved ones, beginning new relationships, and facing fears of the unknown. If you are a Yumi devotee, this is a time of great celebration to receive your Goddess's love and hope for you. For the rest of you, it's time to ask people out, put on shows, and put your fear to the test. Because the darkness unites us and conceals what we cannot see. So sit back, get some baked goods with your loved ones, and face the darkness. Happy Emdow Day!

History

The holidays began as a religious occasion in order to feel the embrace of goddess Yami and potentially receive a vision or anything from the Goddess. It was a time for introspection and spending quality time with family and loved ones. Believers believe that Yami offers and shares her love. As a result, folks would spend time with their family, friends, and significant others. Hanging out, possibly discussing Yumi's embrace and if they received any insights. As a result, followers began to invite people out to share and celebrate love. Consequently, it has grown into a day of dating and adoring Yami. This was the initial step toward the modern-day celebration.

The second phase was some young children and teenagers who went to Yami's Embrace. They imagined it would turn into a fun game of bravery. They began doing something similar in the woods or in the abandoned house. To witness their friends or loved ones leap. Because of these two fundamental developments, the holiday gradually evolved over time. In certain places, love triumphs over fear, while in others, scaring people triumphs over Dating.

You might believe these two concepts are opposite each other. They're a lot closer than we'd like to believe. Especially in the eyes of Yumi, the goddess. She is the Goddess of the darkness, love, secrets, and beasts. All the gods and goddesses have made monsters, but Yumi created the most terrifying ones. She has the same feelings for the people of Elema. As a result, her supporters thought it was a brilliant idea to embrace all sides. As a result, people began to blend these principles with local rituals, and the hoilday grew into what we know today. This has become interwoven in religion and society.

Execution

Jack O Lantern

People will carve pumpkins into various shapes and place them throughout the city the week before Emdow. The Jack O Lantern has been blessed by Yami to keep the monster at bay for the next week, according to the tradition. That the Jack-o-lanterns will emanate an illumination of shadow into the darkness in order to frighten them away. Whether this is true or not, most people like carving pumpkins and decorating the city during Emdow.

Embrace of Yami

Is the religious practice that began it all. So yami believers will either schedule a time slot at the church or conduct this at home or another location that is essential to them. First, you'd need to get a dark purple candle scented with lavender. It has to be extremely small and hardly has a Wick. Then find a place, or in the church, there are various rooms that are completely dark.
The candle will be lit as you enter the room. The candle will be placed on the left arm of a chair in the center of the room. Then, in front of the chair, get down on your knees. You will do this and wait for the camel to come out depending on how big the wick you made if you are doing this at home. The church has it down to 2 minutes of light. Then darkness will engulf you as you feel the goddess Yami's embrace. You will remain in her brace for 7 minutes, feeling her affection and possibly receiving insight or visions, for what she believes you need. Someone will need to open the door after 7 minutes. This light serves as a signpost for you to return from our goddess' embrace and head back to the other loved ones in your life.
Because this ceremony occurs throughout the day and night, the church has 24-hour reservations on this holiday set at 15-minute intervals. You can also do it at any moment during the day when you believe it is appropriate for you and the goddess. You can also do it as a pair, family, or group of loved ones. The criterion is that you have some sort of intimate connection with the persons you're going in with. This is the time to fill the goddesses with love and share it with others.

Night of Love

So it is the female honor to ask their loved one out or profess your love on this festival. The tradition of doing so, Is the girl will bake something for them. Such as cookies, brownies, a tiny cake, or crepes. We'll hand them over and ask them out. Because of this event, it is now customary in several kingdoms to give male companions friendship gifts. In most circumstances, the friendship goody will be purchased. After receiving a positive response, the lady will tell them about the day's events or arrange it with them. Some folks go out to dinner, while others enjoy the other holiday celebrations. Even long-time lovers will request to perform the Embrace of Yami together. So, in that whirling, they're having fun and doing things they adore, and they're praising Yami for the Love and fun they had shared.

Shadow Show

A shadow show is a show in which shadows are used to convey the story of a large and terrible monster or beast. Depending on the story, the heroes may or may not defeat the monster. There are numerous ways to demonstrate this, but shadows must be used. You may use puppets to create shadows for the show. You can also employ magic. Dark wielders have a good deal of control over the shadow and darkness, allowing them to make whatever they choose. There is also a contraption called a light projector that you can put things or stuff through and it will project the shadow onto the wall, allowing you to slowly build the story. Whatever you do, make the shadows the stars of the show. Go and create a terrific story about something that can be found in the dark with the darkness.

Test of Bravery

The Embrace of Yami inspired this event. As a result, this usually occurs at night. This is mostly enjoyed by teenagers and young adults. Everyone receives a candle, regardless of size, length, or other factors. You and your group decide on a location, such as deep in the woods, a scary home, or an abandoned structure. You meet at the Agreed upon location, light the candles that are your only source of light, and walk to the desired spot to explore. It's been done in groups of friends, couples, or any other type of group. They will continue to explore this location, and when the light goes out, you must remain there for 6 minutes to see whether anything will come after you. Then you have to figure out how to get out.
That is the premise behind this currently. In most situations, someone else is set up to terrify people or set up objects in the site to scare people. However, some humans have been injured as a result of the location or the appearance of a monster or a beast. So be cautious about where you choose to hold your bravery test.

These are the most well-known customs on this holiday, however depending on the Kingdom and country you are from, there may be others, such as boat rides for couples to enjoy or to be scared at. People have been able to visit haunted houses filled with monsters from both reality and fantasy. To having a family supper and discussing with loved ones about their day. These are only a few of the other prevalent practices seen throughout the kingdoms, but they are not the only ones.

I enjoyed that all aspects of the Goddess' influence is shown within this festival and that it has changed and adapted throughout time and mentions of regional differences. The festival sounds like a amalgamation of Halloween and Valentine's Day celebrations and traditions and gives a unique take on these. Overall I found it was a solid read, though the layout was formatted that well and the lack of imagery and different text styles would be beneficial to be included.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading. It is a mix of Valentine's and Halloween. I enjoyed combining the two and making it part of my world. Thanks for the critique, I'm still having a hard time with coding and figuring everything out. Still, learning how to change the text styles and make it better will take me a little time.

Let's have fun creating the impossible, building new worlds, and all types of possibilities. Valcin

I also am struggling about the coding, layouts and trying to make my articles interesting to read and look at.
