Ferryman

When I awoke, all I could see was the infinite blue water all around me. It was such a lovely sight that it brought me serenity. A Small boat appeared in the distance, followed by an elderly man. The boat arrived directly next to me. When the old man looked at me, I realized he was there for me. I also saw the man had one normal arm on his left side and three tentacles on his right. Then I remembered the closing section of the Ferryman song.

"Will he reach out with his left to welcome you or will his tentacles take you down, down, down to the abyss"

I looked at the old man, trying to read him. All I can say is that he appear to be a kind old man. Then he reached out with his left hand to welcome me onboard. Then we embarked on my final voyage.
Sailors are said to be given their final trip by ferrymen. That they are or anyone else who has perished in the open sea. They gather souls and guide them to their final destination. Some think they originate from the goddess Mizu, while others say they serve all the gods and goddesses. The truth is that Mizu has the most influence over their creation, and they serve all the gods and goddesses. They are a welcoming sight to all those who will be gods or goddesses. There is no escape for the damned; you will be in their tentacles arm and on your way to suffer your punishment.

Basic Information

Anatomy

He had the appearance of an ancient man, with a long grey beard and a pointed ear with three points on the loop side. He has the deepest darkest blue eyes you've ever seen, like peering into the deepest sea you've ever seen. Bald on top of his head with olive skin, he's clearly been sun-kissed.  He's dressed in torn black clothing and wears a long black shelvesless jacket. His left hand wields the OR and wears a beaded bracelet in all eight hues of Gods and Goddesses. Three Oragen tentacles protrude from the socket of his right shoulder.

The boat is long and black, with two seats. The oar is made of wood and is a dark brown color. Nobody knows if the boat in the oar belongs to the ferryman or is just his ride. These two hypotheses have been debated for ages, but no one has determined whether or not the boat is a part of him, and no one has seen him outside of the boat.

Biological Traits

  • Energy sensory system: The capacity to perceive and walk on all forms of conventional and magical energies from throughout the universe. Highly possible
  • Detect life and death: strongly hypothesized looks at perception for additional details.
  • Soul Touch: is the ability to touch any and all living and nonliving beings' souls. Confirmed
  • Deathtouch: the capacity to either stop you dead in your tracks or tear your soul out of your body to kill it with their tentacles. This is still in the realm of fantasy and lore, but we didn't want to leave it out because of how many stories have it.
  • The tentacle punishment: The right arm is used to restrain the soul and keep the soul on board until it arrives at the end of the line. It appears to have the characteristics that no soul can resist as it squeezes you to emancipate and also makes you feel as if you're panting for oxygen even if your soul doesn't require it. When the tentacles have a hold on you, there is no way out until you arrive at your final destination.

Behaviour

A mixture of a cranky old sailor and a surfer that is wise beyond their years.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They feel the environment in the same way that any other sentient species does, but each of their senses is as good as any memorial could be. For the fairyman, their sensory system has reached the limit of mortal creatures.

They have an extremely unique sensory system that allows them to see waves of mana and energy and ride them regardless of which layer of the universe they are on. They can ride the energy wave underwater, in a Lay Line , or above the sky where they appear to merely sell over the energy waves. They are generally seen riding above or underwater, so they ride the wind or the water's mana to their destination. This skill appears to be directly related to their sensory system.
Unsure how it works, we have only received confirmation regarding this talent from a God [Hikari  and the Goddess [Mizu to some of their devoted followers. There have also been stories of near-death experiences, and the ferryman claims to have just sailed in on the universe's waves.

They are also thought to have the Death scent, similar to the Grim Reaper . This is served because they appear anywhere someone has died in the water. However, no one has confirmed this. It has been verified that they would appear to anyone who has died on or near the water. The Grim Reaper does not appear when some die on or in the water. As a result, we hypothesize that they have the same ability.

History

Soul Retrieval

The divine entities who retrieve souls on the water are known as Ferryman. The Ferryman will arrive at their own pace. You'll never know how long your body has been lost to the deep and your soul has just been chilling in the water. Ferryman will appear in the distance at first, slowly approaching you. They could be in the water or in the sky, but it always appears that they are sailing. As they come right up to you

One or two things will happen here: you will gain a sense of serenity and relaxation, and you will meet a person who is eager to embark on a great expedition and tell you some stories. He will extend his left hand for you to enter the boat. The elderly ferrymen will gently start making their way to your final destination while telling you some great stories over the sea.

The second thing that could happen is that he will stare at you. You are terrified and feel like you have never felt before. You started swimming away when you realized his right arm was already wrapped around you. The tentacles continue squeezing you, and you begin to experience the worst pain you've ever known, and you begin gasping for air for some reason. The following second, you're thrown into the boat and held there until your damnation.
