Mag Turtle

Mag turtles are these cute little turtles with rock-looking shells. That live in Ironcano Summit  . They are known to make very good house pets for the Thar Malduhr Kingdom. Dwarves loved the way their shells look like lava rocks. that they are tough little creatures that live down herewith them. these turtles are the only known species who live inside a mountain their lava.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They have bones on the outside that literally becomes a shell. The shell looks like basaltic stone. which is basically a rough black stone. They have four legs, a tail, and, a head. the Two front legs have toes with strong claws. They use them to dig and destroy the ground in the mountain range. Its two back feet are flatter and a bit flabby with no expenditures. they are used to walking and moving on the lava. The most common way they achieve this is by tucking in the rest of their body parts leaning back onto the shell and having the two back legs director.

Biological Traits

Their skin is very resistant to lava it could survive around 30 minutes before it started getting burned. skins are very heat resistant and tolerant. The same goes for its shell with could actually survive the lava. they are able to breathe carbon monoxide. it breathes in both oxygen and carbon dioxide through its face and also it's rear.

Genetics and Reproduction

After finding a mate and breeding the female Mag turtle. Well, go looking for a nice place to lay the eggs. It is normally somewhere near a hot spot or a lava pocket. This is because the eggs need a hot area to grow in. It will dig around with her front claws and test the temperature of the ground was its back feet. Use it back feet to see if it's the right temperature and climate for the eggs. When if fine a perfect spot. They'll dig a nice small hole to put the eggs in about 6 inches deep. Then it will bury it and pack it where it's safe but soft where it can get out

Growth Rate & Stages

They start off as eggs Eventually hatching into juvenile Turtles. They will crawl and dig their way up from the ground. They will start their adventure off together. As they head to the closes magma pocket. This will give them an escape route from predators and normally some fungi grow around here. They will eat fungus and bugs as they slowly grow into adolescence. These Are the years that they start exploring the mountain range. Now only a third will make it back to adulthood and to the breeding areas to start the cycle all over again.

Ecology and Habitats

Was it living in the Ironcano Summit. It loves living around the hotter part of the mountains. A lot of them can be found close to magma pockets. The Maga Turtle has only been found at this location. It seems to be the only volcanic area that it seems to grow and strive in. it is still a mystery why that is.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They eat fungi and other creatures they come across. So be careful they will try to eat you if they're hungry enough. Your finger looks like a tasty meal.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Mostly they are used as pets in this day and age. At one time they were used to making boots. These boots are able to let you walk on lava for a short period of time. Their shell were use to make strong tools or weapons. They were starting to become rare species at one point. The Thar Malduhr Kingdomput them on an endangered species list. They have made a surprising recovering or last couple of centuries.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have all five basic senses. Their back feet have a little bit more sense of touch. They can feel the temperature in the ground a lot better, but it doesn't affect the Mag Turtle. Also, when it's on a liquid or lava the Mag Turtle has the ability to since stuff in it and how it’s going to move. They can tell this up to 15 feet or so around it. So, meaning if it's surfing lava they can tell if there is a stalagmite that it might run into.

Conservation Status

It's been a couple of centuries since they came off of the endangered species list by Thar Malduhr Kingdom. They are still on the watch list. boy so many of them are allowed to be used as material. now that they use them as pets it's rare for them to want to use Materials.

they 5 to 8 inches long

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

They have bright red skin with Yellow streaks all through it. Its shell is either dark gray or black.
