Perchmint Horse

Perchmint Horses are among the most common pack horses in Raygon. They are preferred for use due to their kinder temperament and smaller size. They are powerful horses that need less nourishment. As a result, many farmers and cart owners plan to use them. The sole disadvantage of  using them is their special ability if they become frightened they damage or destroy the items they are pulling. They are also widely utilized to purchase adventurers and  armies for combat. Perchmint's unique ability to modify the scenery slightly aids in providing decent defense for the back and front.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Perchmint is a huge breed of horse with four legs and long fur around the ankles. Massive body, short tail, and lengthy main. The head has two eyes, large nostrils, and a mouth. They have long, pointed ears capable of hearing in all directions.

Biological Traits

Stalagmite Run is their secret weapon for evading predators and other threats. When they run, they channel some of their magical energy into the ground, and a hardened portion of the soil appears in the shape of a 3 to 4 foot spike. Several will appear in various directions. Either harm or slow down the pursuer. They can also slam the ground, projecting their magical energy forward in front of them, forming this Stalagmite to act as a barrier in their path as they turn to run. So, when hunting these, it is best to approach from this side because the front or back will most likely become blocked.

Growth Rate & Stages

Perchmint become fully mature horses at five years and can live up to 35 years. At 30, they are called an old horse. They start to slow down and not be able to go for long runs anymore

Ecology and Habitats

Perchmint are found all across Raygon, especially areas with decent vegetation or lush grass. They don't seem to have any trouble adapting to different environments and temperatures. The only places they don't seem to like are our deserts and sandy areas. They don't like the soft ground, therefore it's down there running and their stalagmite run power.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Because of their big size, they consume a lot of grass and hay, as well as fruits and vegetables on occasion.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Perchmint are utilized as pack and riding horses. They may not be the fastest riding horses available, but they give excellent protection from being chased while also having reasonable speed, unlike the other pack horses. They also make excellent combat horses due to their Stalagmite Run to slow down or disrupt an opponent. Of course, they make excellent pack horses for pulling carts, tools, and instruments. Even with their slimer frame then other pack horses, they can handle even the heaviest carts.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Perchmint eyes are good at seeing around since they are large and positioned atop the head, even when they are face down in the grass eating. They have difficulty judging the distance of oncoming creatures from their sides, therefore they must constantly move their heads to compensate for only use one their eyes. They have an incredibly good sense of hearing, as they can shift and move their ears to the position of the sounds and pick them up from a distance. They also have a better sense of smell than most sentient beings.

Perchmint are huge and slender. They are slimmer than other pack horses, but nevertheless rather powerful.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Perchmint come in black, gray, white, and dark brown. Ttheir coats could be a solid color or a blend of colors.
