The Neelam Trolls are a species that resides in the Southern Mountains. They are easily identified by their pointed ears, sharp teeth, and sapphire blue skin. They are amongst the longest lived species residing on the planet, with a lifespan of up to 300 years.
Their society is the most developed in terms of architecture. Their government system is Matriarchal, centered at their Capital City know as the "Sapphire Citadel" due to the sapphire inclusions in the walls and windows of the capital building. The Neelam Queen's Title is Dashka. The Neelam society does not traditionally have marriages, so any titles of ownership that are passed through lineage, are passed on through the female lines from the mothers. Titles that are not passed through lineage, are earned through craftsmanship and exemplary service. The secondary government system is managed by an artisan council, which manages the city's maintenance, daily operations, and distribution of imported resources.
They have an active trade system set up with the Goblins and Dwarven Kingdoms. Often Goblins Caravans will travel between the Sapphire Citadel and the Dwarven Kingdoms to facilitate trade agreements. Traditionally the Neelam value gems higher than metal ores and the dwarfs value metals higher than gems, so the Goblin merchants gain value from both types of exchanges.
