Personal history
Born in Wamor, he grew up with his 4 brothers the sons of soldier. Following in his father's footsteps he joined the army of the Shining Coast. Serving honorably he reached atmospheric heights in the hierarchy of the army garnering the attention of the Platinum Legion for his vast knowledge of tactics and warfare. Beginning anew in the Legion he caught the attention of his unit's commanders with his leadership abilities and quickly rose through the ranks soon becoming commander of the 3rd Platinum Legion aboard the Triskelion.
In 61 EC while on detail near Tratun the Triskelion was assailed by a small fleet of small pirate vessels. Taking charge of his Legion, Matraea charged aboard the lead vessel quickly securing it but losing his eye while dueling the captain of the vessel. Bloodied but far from beaten he ordered his men to turn the vessel on the remaining pirate vessels. With aide from the Triskelion they either sunk or routed the remaining pirates.
In the years that followed, Matraea earned a reputation as a fierce yet fair commander earning the respect of his men, peers and superiors. He soon was chosen to replace the elderly Commander of the entire order at that time. As elections came in 72 EC the order nominated him as Lord-Commander of Wamor. In the years that followed he has proven as capable of a statesman as he has a battlefield commander.
