Elemental Plane of Water

The elemental plane mainly inhabited by water elementals. Since the entirety of the plane is located under water, it has proven to be difficult to explore. The water elementals also tend to be very protective of their home. It is ruled and protected by Aqualon the God of Water, an elemental of incredible strength that is rarely seen by mortals.
It is currently the least explored of the four elemental planes, due to the fact that only those very skilled in the art of opening gateways can go there. Attempting to open a gateway there without much experience can result in a one way stream of water flooding out of the gateway. In the past, some wizards used to use this method to create lakes in an instant to combat draught. Though since it was very difficult to control, it is widely banned in the wizard communities, as one wrong move can create a major disaster.
If a gateway is created properly, once you step through it you will find yourself surrounded by water. Gaps of oxygen seem to exist but have proven to be very rare and unreliable. Because of this the plane has remained largely unexplored.
