Emma Talbot

A strong, quiet and efficient woman who used to work with The Golden Griffon Adventuring Company. Where she carried the title of a respected veteran for an extended period of time. She was one of Ryan Huxley's most trusted members, and many were sad to see her retire. Her mannerisms make her seem like a calculated and observant girl, who seems to know much more than she is letting on.
Today Emma works for the The Elladonian Crown upon the recommendation of Lady Annalise Brightfeather. She is currently deployed in Theria under a false identity with the hopes of discovering if Theria has the intentions to break their agreement of peace with Elladonia.

Personal History

Emma grew up in Dameril, with her father Thomas Talbot. Her mother, Anne Talbot died when she was very young, and Emma spent a lot of time growing up in his leatherworking shop, talking to the customers. As she grew it became obvious that she had a love of history, of protocol, and a gift with languages. So she went to school, and studied, and after she finished her studies, she went to work for a lord of minor standing, Sebastian Thistlewood. While she was there, she heard things about her own boss, and other lords in Dameril, though wanting to do a good job, she kept her head down. But when her boss, while making a grab for power, screwed up a very important contract, he blamed her and let her take the fall, destroying the reputation she had built.
After she lost her job, Emma spent a couple of months trying to gain a new position, and was unable to. So she spent her time around some other people who had similar experiences, and found someone willing to take her on as an apprentice of sorts. From them she learned how to move quietly, pick locks and pockets, and wield daggers as well as a bow. She spent the rest of her time thinking of various ways she could restore her name, while revealing who Lord Thistlewood truly was.
Then her dad got sick, and was unable to work. So they sold the shop while she cared for him and lived off what they made from it. And while he got better, his body never fully recovered to be able to work like he did before. With their savings gone, being unable to leave her dad, and unable to move them both to another city, Emma went to The Golden Griffon Adventuring Company, the only place that would hire her with her tarnished name.
After losing her job working for Lord Thistlewood, she met Annalise Brightfeather, a lesser Noble in Alterwood with a desire to hold atrocious lords and ladies accountable for their crimes. She brought Emma into The Poisoned Pen, an oganization focused on collecting information on nobles taking part in despicable actions. Through said organization she also made a few friends, including Elara The Poisonuous Flower and a few others.
