Rebecca Rosefield
A young woman living in Penrith. She used to be a proud and adamant worker at The Lost Cat Inn but suddenly stopped coming. Her sudden desire to remain at home and her refusal to see anyone sparked a lot of questions in Penrith, and many of the townsfolk assumed she had been part of something scandalous.
In reality her husband Stanford Rosefield had been tormenting her in their home since their marriage through varying ways of physical and verbal abuse. Her life was awful until one day when she killed her husband in self defense. That is when her life started truly being hell. She hid her husbands body in the woods, claiming that he went out to gather mushrooms and never came back, but shortly after her husband returned to her in a new, demonic form. He possessed her, physically crawling inside her body and forcing her to harm herself. He spoke in her voice, moved her body as he wished and all she could do was beg for mercy.
Her hell came to an end when a group of adventurers from The Golden Griffon Adventuring Company came to her rescue. Her husband had been using her body to summon demons in their basement which was quickly discovered by members of the town who commissioned the Griffon to deal with the problem.
A young woman and a member of the griffon performed a forced exorcism, and the demon broke her ribs to crawl out of her body. After the demon was defeated, Rebecca was taken to the nearest medical center but they struggled to restore her ribs. She is still too paranoid to leave her home and sometimes wishes life was different, and wonders why her life ended up the way it did.
Today, many of the townsfolk fear her, believing that she has been permanently brainwashed by her husband to join his cult, while others pity her for what she has gone through.
