The Fall of Haven

One fateful day, a gateway the Abyss opened and a flood of demons came through the portal. The Angels fought diligently to end the demonic invasion, but it was not enough. The demonic numbers seemed endless, and the angelic leader Asariel ended up sacrificing herself to close the gateway to the Abyss.
Sadly, Haven was destroyed, and almost every Angel had lost it's life. The desendants of the Angels are today known as the Aasimar, which are simply fragments of their former glory.
