Zen'ryth, The Corrupted

A famous dragon turned Dracolich after being corrupted by an ancient evil. Originally know as 'Zen'ryth, the Wise', he was once a metallic dragon with the kindest of hearts. With an allegiance sworn to Nithron the God of Serenity he was a shining beacon for his followers. It was said he often brought wisdom to those whose pledge was to Nithron.
But it is said that even the kindest of hearts can be corrupted, and a great, unknown evil seeped into the mind of Zen'ryth, plaguing him with madness, rage and greed. With his heart corrupted he sided with neither of the dragon gods, and wanted to surpass them both in strength. Many years later he abandoned his mortal form to enter lichdom, making him an immortal being still spoken of with fear today.
Countless of legendary heroes tried to cleanse the dragon's heart, but was instead faced with the terrible power of the now ancient Dracolich. Where the Dracolich resides today is unknown, but many are confident that he is still out there somewhere, gathering strength in the hopes of surpassing the gods.

The Corruption

Zen'ryth was corrupted by an ancient evil known as an 'Old God', while its name cannot be pronounced by mortal minds, the few mortals who know of it refer to it as: 'He who was Ancient when the World was Young'. Unable to repress the dark, unknown power that came over him, Zen'ryth was reborn as a being of chaos with an endless hunger for power.
To power his phylactery he destroyed the ancient organization known as The Silver Spire, killing those he had once brought wisdom too.
Even today, the ancient Dracolich seeps corruption around him, until one day someone will finally be able to put an end to his now chaotic exitence.
