Marburh
Marburh is a prosperous trading village in the north-west of Inoth, seperated by the Pleasant Brook, a north running river.
Demographics
Marburh is varied, an even mix of human, elves and dwarf, with a smattering of other races.
Government
The village is overseen by the Mage Council, of which there are currently three, Ichard, Turi and Zita. The other four are often abroad as inter-continental advisers.
Defences
There are two main defences in Marburh, the Wall and the River. The river, Pleasant Brook, runs south to north, eventually reaching the coast, and splits the village in two. The wall surrounds the village with monitored entrances to the east and west with barge entrances to the north and south at the river. There is little outside strife for Marburh, most of it being from crooks living inside its walls.
Industry & Trade
Most of the occupants of Marburh are traders, there is a large market in the centre of the village, as well as a small district of merchants to the east. In addition, the villagefolk can become acolytes at the Temple, dedicating themselves to Haye or Zaqhen, earning a position and title after a number of years.
Assets
With Marburh being quite a large village that mainly focuses on trade, they are a main thoroughfare for traders and roaming caravans and boats, and so they often trade in more exotic or rare antiquities, as well as having larger funds than other villages that size, and so are more capable of selling and buying in bulks.
Architecture
Most of the buildings in Marburh are made of stone, and the wall is reinforced with metal mesh, so it rarely has to be repaired.
