The days of flying fires

A very short, but also very blood war waged by Lurd against the Archara countries, which enslaved their fellow Remainders.
While the days of lying fires were the shortest war the Archara has ever witnessed, it has left a strong mark on the political landscape. In the end, after just 3 days, the 4 most powerful queens and their inner circles have been crushed. Later on Lurd would use pictures of their mutilated corpses to intimidate any other country to release any remaining enslaved remainders.
Lurd called this war Operation Flashflood.

Battles

There is debate, if the first battle was in front of Lurd between an attacking army of Ilaria or the Lurds fabricated that evidence as a way to justify their attack. Lurd states that an army of around 600 Solidiers on Niri rode onto the fields before their capital. They stated, that the aggressors were forced to retreat, after they killed the leading general, Tir of Sinira.
Lurd then mobilized mechanical monstrosities to go on a killing spree in the lands of their enemies. They raced faster trough the lands than word of mouth could travel, so no defendant was aware what was coming for them. They attacked the capitals of the 4 queens, but also several bigger cities.
Each attack started with balls of unquenchable fire raining down on the unsuspecting city at barracks, garrisons and palaces. Killing many defenders and their commanders before they even knew what was happening. After that steel demons destroyed the main gates of the cities with their breath. The steel demons and some lesser motorized monstrosities and transportation cars with humanoid soldiers stormed the cities, plundering them for machines especially Ichor-batteries, freeing the Remainders and killing anyone trying to oppose them.

Aftermath

Lurd stated, that this war was retribution for the crimes that have been done against them. They never wanted to unleash the Specters of War, but the Archara forced their hand. Each country which had Remainders as slaves or restricted their movements got a message containing pictures of the butchered queens, that were so detailed and precise, that they seemed to be taken from reality itself. The message itself said, that anyone, who chained their brothers and sister would be exterminated. No queen dared to challenge this threat and so they released all Remainders.
Aside from Lurd getting all it wanted, the biggest winner of this confrontation was Eltas one of the very few Archara kings and one of the even fewer rulers, who has cooperated with Lurd even before the war. Before the war every one assumed he would be forced by one of the (now dead) queens to merry him, granting her all his lands. After the war he could claim great chunks of the territories of the fallen queens, since Lurd seemed to have no intend to rule Archaras towns or cities. Some rumors claim, that Eltas is just a puppet of Lurd.
