As I look out over the sprawling metropolis I and my friends liberated, then begin to rebuild, I am filled with both joy and anxiousness at the work we have done and the work we have yet to do. We have come a long way from rescuing a Unicorn from a negligent druid. Looking back on those days, I wonder if we had been given any warning to the role we would play in this world's future.   Ellecrid is no perfect globe of fantastical wonders and eldrich histories. As we have traveled, we have slowly begun to peel back the veils of obfuscation that has shrouded our planet since the dawn of time itself. Such things should be the discovery of many lifetimes, and perhaps it is in some unknowable way, but it has seemingly been thrust upon us whether we asked for it or not.   In this fifth epoch of the world, perspective and insights will be the difference between belligerent ignorance and resolute comprehension. The world is primed to end in a few short years and we all must stand as one against the tide, or what was all of these centuries of strife, perseverance, happiness, woe, and triumph even for? To that end, I begin the arduous and unenviable task of putting pen to paper and documenting all that I can about this wide and wonderfully dynamic world.   In these articles, gazettes, leaflettes, and journals, I will hope to take all of the knowledge I have compiled and present it in a way that even the most common of men can read and understand what lives in the world beside them, what is going on, and what has been kept from their purview, perhaps just out of sight. Such a task will surly put my own self at odds with folk who would maintain their secrecy and deception. They will come for me, my family, and all that my friends and I have built. I know this, but I do not fear.   Fear of what I and my friends have discovered coming to light in the face of an existential threat is foolishness that only the truly craven and short sighted would allow themselves to succumb to. What I have to say must be said. What I have to report must be known for if we are to throw back the end of the world, our hearts must be liberated, our secrets laid bare, we must come together and maybe, just maybe, we will spit in the face of doomsday.   Penned by Dromnir Hellshaft, of Clan Khad Morakh, Steward of the Bleeding City, Vice Chieftain of the Oni Clan of the United Grove, Treasurer of the Band of the Bloody Stars Mercantile Conglomerate, Rebuker of Flattery and Pageantry, and founding Guildmate of the Band of the Bloody Stars.
